Time to wake up!

Letting Toie have a sleep in today before we hopefully hit the sales in the stores today! I hope to find a lot of pretty clothes for Cecilia! She is playing on the floor now and I'm playing with my new phone.

Christmas

It's been a good Christmas. I have been simply too busy with Cecilia to have time to update the blog...

She is learning so fast. One week ago on sunday she all of a sudden learned to clap her hands! And now she can't stop doing it! I'm also starting to see signs that she is trying to move forward! And I noticed her first two teeth are on the way!

She got a lot of great presents! A lot of pretty clothes, which she needs, cause she is growing fast. She is now 71cm, and 7725 grams! I also hope to find clothes this week at the sale they always have after Christmas.

For myself I also got some nice presents! Among others a curl iron for my hair which I absolutely loved the first time I tried it. I also god a food processor which I really wanted as well! A lot of pretty socks! A food thermometer, a moomin book, pretty cake stands... Too many things to remember! But they were all good!

And last, but not least... A new phone! Samsung galaxy s2! yay! Maybe i can blog from the phone as well? I have to find that out!

The christening (pictures)

My beautiful girl!

My mother, her grandmother, made the dress by hand.

I made the cakes myself, and the decorations on them!

They were filled with raspberry mousse and marshmallow fluff!

Chocolate cake pops! I made them as well, with a little help from my sister rolling them, and my family, and dutch family for wrapping them up.

I made the banners myself as well!

Yes, she can sit!

She can now sit! Not for long however, just maybe 5 minutes, but it's longer and longer for every day!

Sadly I'm having internet issues at the moment. Comhem claims there is a problem with the electricity cord to the modem...sounds very unlikely since all the lights are on and all that... But they are sending me a new cord... So I have to wait for that..and if that doesnt work I will probably be without internet access (and phone for that matter) for 2more weeks...or so it feels like. Luckily Toine has internet access on his phone, but its slow, and I can only use it when he is as home!

Meeting the crownprincess Victoria of Sweden!

Today we went to the playground here in Kallhäll where I live. It was me, Cecilia, my mother, and my friend Jenny (who is also Cecilias godmother). We went there for a reason, the crownprincess of Sweden, Victoria, and her husband prince Daniel were coming for a short visit and of course we wanted to be there to see it, and maybe take some pretty pictures of the royal couple and the growing belly of the crownprincess, she is expecting a little baby next year! We got there a little early so we would have a good place to stand. All of a sudden it turns out the woman who helped organize this event, used to be my principal in school when I was a young child and my mother knew her very well! So she suggested that we could go and sit in the sandbox and play, because the royal couple would actually go and have a loot at the special seats in the sandbox that are made for the handicapped children.

I had brought with me a few flowers that were left over from the christening ceremony, and they were still looking quite good, so I thought Cecilia could give them to the crownprincess. And she came, and not only did she accept the flowers, she wanted to talk for a little, maybe 5 minutes, and played a bit with Cecilia, held her hand, and gave her a flower back to play with. She asked a lot of questions, how old she was, if we come to the park often, and that it is a nice park and that Cecilia was a pretty little girl. She was very easy to talk to and although I was little nervous, it almost felt like talking to a friend, she was so curious and polite about things! Jenny took a lot of pictures for me, and later a woman from the press came and asked for our names and wanted to ask what we had talked about. You can now read about it on this link!

The christening

I have a lot to write now! First about Cecilias christening which turned out a complete sucess! The cakes I made were perfect! The cupcakes were perfect! The cakepops were perfect! And the ceremony was also perfect! I will post some pictures later!

Busy busy busy

Well It's been pretty busy around here lately so I haven't had time to update much. Toine's parents, brother and aunt are coming on thursday this week! They are staying at our apartment for Cecilias christening, which is on sunday! So I have had a lot to do, and planning the weekend, what has to be done, who will do what, when to do it. What we have to buy, and what to do in the spare time for our guests! I have already prepared most things, like baking the cupcakes, and the sponge for the cakes, done sugar decorations, tested out different fillings. Premade the buttercream, baked cookies...and so on :) this is going to be such an awesome party!

Just a small update before bed.

Well Cecilia got her vaccines last friday, and it was hard for her. Later in the evening she got a fever and was very sad. But she was fine again the following evening. She has been having some trouble to sleep lately though and wakes up many times in the night now. I think it is because she is going through a development fase right now. She also started turning around again. She did turn around for the first time when she was about 3 months, but didn't do it again, until now that is!

Well well...now I'm gonna go back to sleep again!

5 months (soon)

Tomorrow Cecilia will be 5 months already! Time flies really fast and in less than a month it's time for her christening! I'm busy with the preparations and at the same time living life. I met some new friends on the open preschool, one of them I connected with quite instantly, she is a bit like me. We are now going on walks together and on Saturday she and her husband have invited us over to get to know each other! It's going to be so much fun. Her name is Annika, and her daughter is nearly 7 months old, her name is Elvira. Pretty name!

But I can't believe Cecilia is already 5 months old! on Friday she is getting her second inoculation and we will measure and weigh her as well. I'm quite curious about that part!

Cecilia is learning new things. She now knows that when you shake something, it can make a sound, and she likes to bang things on the floor or on the table haha. So much fun. She is eating a little little bit of food as well just to learn how to eat, and to taste new things. Up until now she has tasted potato, carrot, parsnip, oatmeal porridge, broccoli and peas. Next up is corn, and after that I think we will try to give some fruit. It's funny sometimes when I try to give her food, then she only wants to play and shakes her head around and smiles, and I can't stop laughing!

Eating carrot for the first time!

A little bit tired!

Playing, she did this all by herself haha!

Preparations for the christening!

Roses and calla lilies that I made in sugar paste, you can eat them. They are for the cakes for Cecilia's christening!

Today we were at another flea-market and made a really good deal. I found completely new babycothes with the pricetags still attached. The value of the clothes if I had bought them in the store would be 1300kr (130€?), but the price I payed was only... wait for it.... wait for it... 170kr!!! (17€?) Wow! I'm so happy haha!

Busy day!

Woke up quite early this morning. I have my own alarm clock. Cecilia always wakes me up when she gets bored. Then she starts talking and singing, but as soon as I open my eyes and look at her she smiles. And then I pretend to sleep again and she starts talking and singing hehe. It's like she's saying "Mooooommy, it's boooriiing, wake up!" haha.

We went on a nice long walk with a new friend. Her name is Annika and she lives quite close to me. She has a 6 months old daughter and she is super cute and fun to watch.

After the walk I had a quick lunch and then went to Jakobsberg with my mother again. It's been a lot of those trips lately, but it's fun! I bought some flowers for the balcony for autumn and winter. And then we went to the cake decorating shop where I bought some things I need for the christening cakes for Cecilia's party. I have to start working on all the decorations now. I already finished folding all the napkins, and decorated them a bit, but there are still some things to be fixed. I have to start baking as well. I can put the things in the freezer at my parents place.

I fell asleep while putting Cecilia to bed, so now I'm quite awake, but I'm going to try to sleep now anyway. Hopefully I can. Tomorrow I'm going to the preschool again. Normally we go on Tuesdays, but today it was closed, so we will go tomorrow morning instead!

My poor baby

Just when I thought it was all over. My cold was getting much better... Cecilia gets a cold as well poor sweetie. She was not happy at all and last night she almost couldn't sleep because her nose was so blocked. And of course I couldn't sleep then either. So today I've been very tired but Cecilia is feeling a little better luckily. Toine bought some baby nose drops for her nose today sohopefully she can breathe better tonight.

Tomorrow I'm going on a walk with a new friend I found on the open preschool and after lunch I'm meeting my mom in Jakobsberg. She has some errands in there and I want to take a look in the cake decorating store again!

Blegh...

I have a cold, And I'm sooo tired. So today I wish I could have a break!

Yesterday was fun though, me and Cecilia were shopping together with my mother, and my dear friend Jenny in Kista shopping center. I bought a birthdat gift for my other good friend Karro (Karolina) becaus today is her birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Today we went to the open pre school and made a plaster cast of Cecilia's hand together with mine. It turned out really beautiful!

I think I'm gonna make steak for dinner...either that, or a large oven pancake. Perhaps dutch style with bacon and cheese in it... I don't have mushrooms at home :(

Food and other things

We started giving Cecilia food to taste now, just a teaspoon every day. For a few days now she has been eating potato with a little butter, and breastmilk. Today we are going to try carrot! I hope she likes it! The potato was very strange she thought.

Today I'm getting slightly annoyed with Toine, he refused to change Cecilias diaper because it was a poo diaper... He felt that because he changed the last poo diaper, it was my turn. Not thinking at all about the fact that I have been changing every freaking poo diaper the whole week already... Oh well... So I changed the diaper, and when I was gonna wash my hands, we were out of soap, and the soap started to run out yesterday already and he knew that! But instead of just refilling the soap, he waits for it, then hands me the soap to refill cause I'm already standing there... And I'm like WTF... Why didn't you refill it yesterday? And he goes like "well, you could've done it as well!"

What am I? A freaking octopus with 8 arms? I can't do everything! So out of frustration I put Cecilia down in the babygym, and she gets cranky, and I go to refill the freaking soap. "Where are you going?"... i'm going to refill the freaking soap, and hang up the firealarm (on which the batteries died 3days ago but since I didn't have time to fix it, was still not up yet... Did Toine ever think about the fact that he also has 2 arms that he can use for other things than computer stuff?). And when I say this HE gets angry and for some reason starts cleaning around the apartment to punish me when I want to sit down and finish watching Robinson (survivor) on tv... Then I sort of felt like, fine, why not...let him clean then. But I convinced him to come and finish the program anyway.

On a normal day I change perhaps 5-6 diapers, I start 1-2 dishwashers, I keep Cecilia entertained, I look after the apartment as much as I have time for (this week sadly the kitchen has been suffering a bit but the livingroom and bathroom is nice and tidy). And I pray to god that I have time to cook, and for that matter, eat my lunch while it's still warm, sometimes I don't get to eat until 2pm. And then I make his dinner everyday. So then he comes home, eat dinner, spend about an hour with his own daughter before I have to put her to bed (and usually that hour means watching tv while holding her...)... Sure, he does the laundry once in a week, but is it really too much to ask that he also refills the soap (once every 2 months) and changes the batteries in the firealarm (once every 2 years)? And perhaps changes more than one poo diaper in a week?...

A good night

Last night she slept 9,5 hours! She went to bed at 20:00 as usual. But this time she didn't wake up for food in the night! She woke up at 5:30 yay! Sadly thats not gonna happen this night again cause she is already awake for her night feeding and its 23:00 now.

Today we went to the open preschool as we do every tuesday. It was fun and we were singing and dancing a little. And I got to talk to other mothers as usual which is always nice!

A normal day for Cecilia

We have gotten quite a good routine here at home she and I. She will be 4 months old tomorrow and I thought it would be fun to write about a normal day at home.

Morning starts between 08.00 and 09.00 and I wake up when she starts talking and singing and testing her voice in different ways. We go up, I get dressed first, then i take her to the nursery table in the bathroom to change diaper and get her dressed. I take her out to the kitchen where she sits in a baby sitter while I make breakfast for myself and start the dishwasher. We then go to the livingroom and I put her down on the floor in the baby gym while I eat my breakfast and watch something on tv. After a while she gets bored with the gym, so I pick her up and put her on my lap and play little games with her. Then she gets a little sad, this is somewhere between 10.00 and 11.00 depending on when she woke up. So I change her diaper if it's needed, take her to our bed, breastfeed her, and then she sleeps.

She usually sleeps for an hour, an hour and a half, but she will only sleep if I am next to her in the bed, so I am really glad I have the iPad... But sometimes I sleep too hehe. Anyway, then it's time to wake up and I take her back to the kitchen, to make lunch for myself, then back to the livingroom and put her in the baby gym while I eat lunch and watch something on tv, then she gets bored again and I pick her up, play little games until she is tired again, I go change the diaper and put her om the bed for food, and sleep again, this is about 3 hours after the last feeding so perhaps 14.00.

And after an hour she wakes up, then I usually put her in the baby gym again and sometimes tidy up a bit in the livingroom or I bring the baby gym to the computer room so I can do my farmville for a little hehe. Sometimes I let her stay on our bed and start fixing the laundry, or take her to the kitchen while I clean there. Then time to play a little again when she gets bored to be all by herself. And then time for diaper change, eat and sleep, this would be around 17.00.

When she wakes up around 18.00 I take her to the kitchen to make dinner, or if Toine is home now, he will take her. If he is not home he will take her as soon as he comes home! So when dinner is ready, she gets to play in the babygym again while we eat, and then she gets bored so she gets to sit with her daddy (Toine). About 20.00 she starts to get sad again. So we make her ready for the night. Change the diaper. Put on her sleeping dress which is like a little bag with arms, and an opening for the head of course, you can open and close by the feet to easily change the diaper at night if needed. I put her on our bed, breastfeed her, and she sleeps.

This time I am able to leave the bed without waking her, so now we have some free time together me and Toine. Then before Toine goes to bed (like 23.30 or so, way too late for him hehe) she usually wakes up for food again. But sometimes I wake her up. So she eats, and goes back to sleep, and I carry her over to her own bed.

Sometimes she wakes up again at 02.00 but not often. Most of the time she wakes up for food around 05.00, sometimes 06.00 and then Toine goes to work so when she wakes up I put her in our bed again abd she sleeps again. If ahe wakes up at 05.00 she also wants a little breakfast at 07.00 and sleeps a little more after that, and then at 08.00 - 09.00 the whole procedure starts over again!

Some days we go for a walk, and some days we go to the open pre school. Sometimes we go shopping, but all in all, this schedual works perfect.

A little shopping

Yesterday I was by myself for the first time since Cecilias birth! Toine took care of her for an evening and I went to the cinema with one of my best friends Karro! We saw Kung Fu Panda 2 (it was funny!) and had dinner at a spanish restaurant. We picked some tapas to eat and had a lot of fun things to talk about. Toine was doing a good job with Cecilia, and when I came home it was bed time for her, so I got to put her to bed.

She sleeps so well during the nights now. She also starts to learn to sleep during the days, but she doesn't sleep long unless I am in the bed with her also. But that's fine by me! It's quite cozy. She goes to sleep really easy in the evenings as well now. Most of the time all I have to do is give her food around 8pm, then she sometimes sleeps at once, but sometimes she likes to play a little with her feet, and then she sleeps.

Today I went with Toine, Cecilia and my mother to a flea market. I'm searching for nice things to use for the christening party. Today I found 2 cute bowls. We also found a jump-swing for Cecilia to use when she gets a little older, for only 30kr. After that we went to a store and I bought 2 moomin bodies for Cecilia, and a scrap-book to use for the christening, and last but not least, a tray for baking cupcakes, which I needed. We had dinner at my parents place, and I finished making some decorations for the party afterwards! Yay! Now I'm gonna go fix my farm, and then sleep. Tomorrow I'm just gonna stay home and rest with Cecilia! Perhaps we will give her a little real food (mashed potato) for the first time in the evening!

To be a mom...

Now hiring!
A loving, caring person with a bright smile and never ending patience to care for another human being with a lot of special needs. She is unable to express her urgent needs in any other ways but screams, but can sometimes also communicate with smiles and curious looks. She is seemingly spastic and motor control is poor. Unable to sit without special support and spends most of her time just looking around.

Work hours begin 7am and end 21pm, on-call duty hours from 21pm to 7am, this goes for every day of the week. Breaks are only allowed when your care-taker allows it, this also includes meal-breaks. You are required to sleep in the same room as your care-taker.

Your job includes (but not limited to) care for personal hygiene, help with mobilization, feeding, cure for heart and soul, comfort, help to sleep, physiotherapy and general amusement.

I could sure use a break right now!

Hehe, but seriously... today we visited the choir that my parents goes to, so we could listen to some songs the choir-leader had written. It was good songs, and one I liked immediately and would love to have on the baptism/christening. Today I also heard that the priest now has the texts and a psalm in dutch, yay!

A little shopping

Went to thw childrens care center today to weigh and messure Cecilia! She is now 65,3 cm long and weighs 6172 grams. She is long, but not so chubby but they were not worried. They say it's ok now to start tasting other foods! So for this weekend we are going to try to give her a little bit of mashed potato, only a teaspoon or so. Gonna be so much fun!

My mother, Cecilias grandmother was with me at the care center! And afterwards we went to Jakobsberg for a quick visit at her work. I bought 3 new pairs of pants for Cecilia, and we took a trip past the library, there I gave her some food also. Then it was time for us to have lunch. Yummie wok restaurant. After that we took the bus to Sollentuna center and went to look for some pretty decoration things for the baptism/christening. I didn't really find much though.

Svenska hollywoodfruar (swedish hollywood wives)

We have a show on tv here about some swedish women, that are housewives in hollywood and about the glamorous life they live. Usually its a very entertaining show to watch but todays episode made me angry. One of the women, Isabel Adrian, has a 1 year old daughter named Monday Lilly. In this episode she takes her daughter to a piercing studio to get her ears pierced and it just hurt me so much to see how painful it was for that little girl, and that her mother could choose to do that to her at such a young age. She claims she was doing her daughter a favour by getting her ears pierced now, cause then she wouldn't have to feel the pain later when she is older. While she is crying and screaming in pain when the 2 men hold her down very hard so she wouldn't move when they pierce her ears, her mother is just sitting in the back covering her ears, and then leaves the room...

Seriously, getting your ears pierced at such a young age is not good for the child in my opinion. And to say it's better to do it now, than later is just complete bullshit. When she is older she is also mature enough to cope with the pain, I never thought my 8 ear piercings hurt. I choose to get my first piercings when I was 10 I think it was. I was ready for it then. For such a young child, it can only be a traumatic experience!

Laughing!

She made a little laugh for the first time last Friday, but today when she was sitting with her great grandmother in the sofa and playing she was really laughing a lot! It was so much fun to see and hear!

For Toine's birthday today I had made tagliatelle with a chanterelle mushroom cream sauce and pork tenderloin. And for desert I had made a nice dutch apple cake! For my sister I made little cupcakes with apples, and a cinnamon buttercream on top.

For his birthday he got a shaving machine from my family, and a small silver plate with Cecilias name on it for his necklace! I hope he liked it.

Cupcakes

I baked some cupcakes today to practice for the upcoming party. It's a lemon cupcake with a vanilla butter cream frosting, topped with a blue butter cream rose which I made myself, and some pretty sprinkles!

I got an email yesterday saying that the cards we ordered are on the way, so hopefully we get them on Monday (or Tuesday).

I'm also working on some decorations for the party but I will post some pictures of that when they are done!

Tomorrow we are going to a huge flea market outside IKEA. It's gonna be fun. Toine will be away all day and evening on a kickoff with his work, so I will spend the day at my parents place :) Also baking Toine's birthday cake, cause tomorrow is his birthday!

Invitation cards...ordered

Well the title says it all, really. I gave in to Toine's stupid wishes...although I really didn't like the card design I decided to compromise. He could have his boring card design for the invitation, and I could have my cool and pretty design for the thank you cards... He didn't really want that either... But I recon he has no choice... And he didn't even want the party in the first place so why does he all of a sudden go and think he can decide things!

Anyway... Spent the day at my parents place and got some sowing done while my sisters played with Cecilia. We had a really nice dinner cause Yvonne is going back to her home tomorrow...well today really since it's past midnight... Time for bed! Good night!

At the country place

We went to the country place yesterday for some nice relaxing with my mother and grandmother, plus my sisters Yvonne, and Elin with her boyfriend Simon. I made a cake the day before and Our friend Peter who ls a neighbor up at country place also came to visit! We had a fun time cheering for all the people who were running a marathon competition on the road just outside the house! This is something we do every year! However it was way too warm for Cecilia so she was not always happy. But when a butterfly came her way while she was sitting on Elins lap, things became much more interesting!

At first she looks a little grumpy...

Then she finally notices the butterfly...

And tries to take it, but then it flies away hehe!

Invitation cards

I have finished designing 3 different invitation cards for the baptism, so now we have to choose which one is best. There is only one problem... My favorite, is Toines least favorite, and vice versa.

I spent the day shopping with my mother and both sisters today. I bought a birthday gift for Toine (I hope he likes it) and some items which I need for cake decorating! I found this awesome fun store nearby with so many cool items for decorating cakes, it felt like I died and came to heaven haha. I was litterally jumping up and down when I got inside the store!

Not as planned

My plan was to go shopping today but I didn't have the energy for it... I'm going tomorrow instead together with Yvonne and probably my mom, and possibly Elin but that I'm not sure about.

The past few days Cecilia has been a very independent little girl. I have been able to put her down in the babygym for long periods of time while I do other things. And when she is tired of the gym, she gets to sit on my lap for a while, and when she is tired of that, it's time for food and then she takes a nap. She almost laughed today when we played peekaboo!

The date is set!

On November 6 Cecilia will be baptized and there will be a party with cake and cookies afterwards! Now I have to plan the guestlist and make cards to send! Yay!

Cecilia has been a really nice girl today and a little bit tired. It's been a nice and calm day and I got a lot of things done at home... Tomorrow I think I'm gonna go shopping for Toine's birthday present! And maybe some cake decorating stuff so i can practice to make a pretty cake for Cecilia!

Open preschool

As the title says, I took Cecilia to the preschool. Today it was for babies from 0-8 months and we were playing games and singing songs. Very nice. And I also got to meet with and talk to other mothers that live in my town. It was a lot of fun, they were all very nice. We went there last week as well, but then it was the first day and it was only us and another young mother with her son there. He was 4,5 months old and I told Cecilia she wasn't allowed to date older boys hehe.

Other than that Toine is away all evening on IT-kickoff so I'm all by myself. But it shouldn't be any problems. I hope he has a lot of fun.

I'm trying to put Cecilia tobed now and google for recipies to make for Cecilias baptism. Thanx to the iPad I can do that at the same time!

Finally...

Blogging with the iPad now! This gives me more time to be able to blog since I can do it while breast feeding Cecilia, or when I put her to bed, or when she is grumpy and only wants to hug... And many other situations!

Today my mother and sisters came to visit because they wanted to watch "Cake Boss" that I had recorded. My mom was nice and cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen for me! And later my dad came for a quick visit after work as well.

Cecilia is sick now, she has a little cold. It's not so bad and she doesn't care much for now. In the nights she has a little trouble sleeping though. But I give her some paracetamol and then it's a little better.

Baptism

Planning for Cecilia's baptism now. The day will be sometime end of October, or beginning of November, it's not sure yet. I will know on Tuesday I think. My plans are great however so I have already started with the planning and preparations. The priest is a friend of ours and she actually speaks dutch so it will be a quite special ceremony. She was going to call the church in Rotterdam and ask them to send up papers with texts and songs in dutch. And then parts of the ceremony will be in dutch, and other parts in swedish. Also my mothers choir will sing some songs, maybe in dutch.

It looks like the guest list will be long, but I don't know exactly who will come. I already have idea's for the decorations we will have at the place where we will have the party afterwards. Idea's for how to fold the napkins, what cakes to bake, what cookies to make, what cards to send! It's going to be so much fun!

Auntie is here

My sister Yvonne is here visiting and the past few days has been really busy. We have been to Gustavsberg, where they make quality Swedish porcelain. Toine was working so I was there with Cecilia. We made her footprints on a plate. We walked around in the museum and shopped for things at the Iittala outlet.

Yesterday we had the traditional crayfish party. Some of the crayfish we actually fished ourselves this year and cooked for the first time. The result was outstanding, very delicious. We celebrated together with good friends, but sadly Cecilia was a little grumpy and cried a lot in the evening.

Today we have been shopping together (Toine was at home doing the laundry, so sweet of him). I bought some warm clothes for the autumn and winter for Cecilia, and when I was walking around in the store, carrying her in my arms, she decided to throw up and made a nice little puddle on the floor... luckily nobody saw it hehe. But then when I had picked the things I wanted and was going to pay, i accidentally dropped some things on the floor, and while I was going to pick them up, she decided to throw up again, a nice little puddle on the floor... this time everyone saw it...hehe oh well. It's not like I can do anything about it.

3 months (soon)

Today she got her first vaccination. The first vaccine goes into the first leg and is a combination against haemophilus influenzae B, diphteria, tetanus, pertussis and poliomyelitis. It hurt a little but she was happy after looking at the funny toys in the ceiling. The second vaccine goes into the other leg is for pneumococcus and that one stings bad. But as soon as I could pick her up and hug her a big she was quite happy again. Today, 2 days before she is 3 months, she was 63cm long and weighed 5710gram so everything was looking good.

Next vaccine and next meeting is when she is 5 months old.

Hehe, it's fun poking the nose.

Likes to suck on the thumb.

Doesn't like to lay on her belly but this time wasn't too bad.

Hugging all her toys and the thumb in her mouth, then she will sleep hehe.

Zoo

We went to the zoo today with Cecilia and she was being a nice girl the whole time! I got many nice pictures of all the animals and we made a groupfoto as well that I will post later. I also finally got the skirt I wanted from the Lief! store. Toine was so sweet to buy it for me, though it was really for Cecilia.

In the car-seat wearing the very same cute hat that I did when I was a baby!

The awesome cool skirt! Yay!

Shopping!

Today we went to a store called "baby-dump'' it doesn't sound very good but they had many nice things there!

The outfit for today!

A Pair of pants in size 68 with little hearts for pockets, they also have ruffels on the back! so cute.

A shirt/dress with the word Wonderful on the front. So pretty! I fell in love with it immediatly!

And this shirt with little glittery ''diamonds'' and some bowties on and the text ''Diamonds are a girls best friend''.

Cecilia also got this bedcover from her grandmother Cora. I saw it before in a different store, but there it costed way too much. In this store it was more than half of the price! Very pretty.

Stomach problems

Today she has a lot of gas and problems with her stomach, she is not so happy. Mieke came today (a relative) and wanted to buy a gift for Cecilia so we went to the toystore together. We got a nice toy with bunnies to put on the car-seat for her so she has something fun to look at during the long car trip. We also got a nice mobile to hang over the bed for her, with the same bunnies. Tomorrow we are going to a baby-store to buy fun things yay!

10 weeks, or 2 months and a little...

We are on vacation in the netherlands, visiting Cecilias grandparents, uncle, great grandfather and many other relatives. While here she has learned a whole bunch of new stuff, she is discovering her hands and feet, she lifts her head for a short time while laying on her belly. She also turned from belly to back a few times!

There has been many people visiting to see her, people I don't even know. And she has gotten many nice presents.

Our little girl is almost 4 weeks old. Time flies fast now as opposed to when I was still waiting, then things were going really slow hehe. Tomorrow my youngest sister is graduating and we have a lot to prepare so the past few days have been really busy.

42 weeks

2 weeks overdue now, she really doesn't want to get out but tomorrow she has no choice anymore! Tomorrow at 08.00 we are going to the hospital to induce labor. It can take up to 3 days before everything is finished depending on how mature the body is to start it. But soon we will finally meet our little girl for the first time!

41 weeks

Blegh... one week overdue now, and all I do is wait and try to pass the time. Watching tv-shows online, cleaning. Luckily I don't have to wait much longer since they only allow you to go 2 weeks over. Last Friday I took a long walk around Stockholm together with my mother and my sister and took some pictures of the blossoming cherry trees at Kungsträdgården.

D-day

D-day as in Delivery day...has arrived, but sadly I feel nothing yet so it's simply not going to happen today...

Thought I'd share some photo's of things we have prepared for the baby.

Easter decorations on the kitchen table!

We have put down new wooden floor on our balcony. Still have to oil the furniture though.

New flowers to decorate the balcony.

The crib for the baby to sleep in! My mother made the pretty blanket all by herself!

Here is the wardrobe for the baby. Me and my sisters had it when we were small. On top is the suitcase packed and ready for when we have to go to the hospital.
